Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy covers the website couple-game.app and the games love., Norm or Nope? and Two of Us. We kept it short and wrote down what the games actually do. Questions: support@couple-game.app.
Who is responsible
The games are made and run by Ramil Mamedov, an independent developer based in Indonesia, publishing under the name “Couple Game”. Contact for all privacy questions: support@couple-game.app.
In short
- We don't sell data and don't share it for advertising.
- There are no ad networks or third-party analytics in our games or on this website.
- None of the games asks for access to your camera, microphone, contacts or location.
- Most of what you enter stays on your device. What reaches our servers is described below, game by game.
This website
couple-game.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers.
Like any web server, ours keeps technical access logs (IP address, time, requested page, browser) for security and troubleshooting. Logs are deleted automatically within 30 days.
If you close the language suggestion, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
love.
No account
Names, chosen themes, saved questions and settings are stored only on your device, in the browser's storage. “Reset everything” in the game erases them, including your 18+ confirmation.
Anonymous statistics
To learn which questions work, the game sends us: question ID, theme and level, its position in the game, game length, language, whether it runs as an installed app, the referring site and campaign tags, a random device number and error reports. No names, answers or question texts, and IP addresses are not stored with them. You can turn statistics off on the privacy page inside the game.
Only when you press the button
Ratings, question suggestions and notes on questions are sent to us only when you choose to send them.
Long-distance play
The room's content is end-to-end encrypted with a key kept in the link after “#” — browsers don't send that part to the server. Rooms live only in server memory and disappear after 12 hours of inactivity. To prevent abuse, IP addresses are used for rate limiting and kept for no more than 1 hour.
Notifications and widget
Reminders are scheduled on your device and the widget works offline; nothing is sent to us for them.
Norm or Nope?
No registration
The nickname you type lives only in the room's memory: up to 6 hours, or 30 minutes after the room is empty. Then it's gone.
Anonymous game records
When a game in a room ends, we save which questions were asked and which button each player slot chose (player 1 / player 2) — without nicknames. This helps us improve the questions.
Result links
A result link (/r/…) shows the question texts and vote counts, without names, and works for 30 days.
Anonymous statistics
A fixed list of events (for example, game started or question answered) without nicknames, answers or room codes. A tab number is kept in your browser's session storage and is cleared when you close the tab.
On your device
The history of your games is stored only in your browser.
No outside services
While you play, our server makes no requests to third parties. We use AI (OpenAI) only offline, to help prepare questions; your answers are never sent to it.
Two of Us
Two of Us is in closed early access. This section may change before launch; we'll update the date above.
Sign-in
You sign in through our Telegram bot @dvoe_app_bot. We store your Telegram ID, an internal profile code and your settings (grammatical gender, tone, language, 18+ setting, profile visibility). Nothing else from your Telegram account is stored. The sign-in cookie lasts 30 days.
Birth data
Date, time and city of birth — yours and your partner's — and an optional label for your partner are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM). We ask for your consent before saving them, separately for your data and your partner's, and keep a record of that consent. Please only enter your partner's data if they're fine with it.
What stays on your device
Names typed in the form stay on your device. City search runs on our own server from an offline database, without third-party map services.
Guest calculation
You can try a calculation without signing in. It's stored encrypted for 7 days and linked to a cookie named dvoe_g.
AI
Texts come from a library prepared in advance with the help of AI (OpenAI); the game doesn't call AI while you play. Where AI is involved, it receives only depersonalised facts — “Partner A” and “Partner B”, with no names, dates or places — and only with your consent.
No analytics
Two of Us has no analytics.
Deleting
There is no delete button in the game yet. Write to us and we'll delete everything — see Delete data.
Why we may process data
- To run the game you opened (performing our agreement with you).
- To keep the games secure and improve them with anonymous statistics (our legitimate interest).
- With your consent where the law requires it — for example, birth data in Two of Us. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us.
Where data is stored
Our servers are rented from Hetzner in Germany (EU). Data stored on your device stays on your device.
Your rights
You can ask what we store about you, get a copy, correct it, delete it or object to processing. Write to support@couple-game.app: we reply within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days. How to delete, game by game: Delete data.
Anonymous records can't be linked to you, so we can't find or delete them individually — that's exactly what makes them anonymous.
You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
Our games are not for children: all three are 18+. If you think a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll mention it on this page.
